01What reed strength should I use with a 105 tip?
Most players land around 2 to 2.5 on a 105. The wider the tip, the softer the reed needs to be to stay responsive.
02Does this come with a ligature?
No. You need a ligature sized for metal tenor mouthpieces, which are narrower than hard rubber. Rubber-piece ligatures will not tighten down properly.
03Will this fit my tenor neck?
It is cut for standard tenor cork. If your cork was fitted to a hard rubber piece it may be too thick, and a tech can sand it down.
04Is a metal mouthpiece harder to play than hard rubber?
The material itself is not harder. The 105 tip is what demands more air and embouchure control, and that is true in any material.
