Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
AstroLab 61 is a stage keyboard built to take Arturia sounds from studio work into a live set. It carries more than 1,300 V Collection and Pigments presets, and the included Analog Lab, V Collection, and Pigments software can import up to 10,000 custom sounds. The 61 piano-sized, semi-weighted keys include velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. Front-panel controls, four macros, and dedicated delay and reverb knobs keep sound changes close at hand, while 17 insert effects extend the available shaping options.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Building a live set from V Collection and Pigments sounds prepared in the studio.
- Changing presets and effect levels from the front panel during a performance.
- Using sustain or expression pedals while playing 61-key keyboard parts in a live set.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Performances that require onboard faders or drum pads; neither is present on AstroLab 61.
